So, you wrote a Catholic book?
You're in the right place.

Content Editing - Copy Editing - Proofreading - Transcription

Writing is an intimate process. Sharing ideas that have filtered through your heart can feel equivalent to baring your soul. So when your Catholic faith is the lifeblood of your work, you want an editor who "gets it." You want someone who shares your beliefs, understands your mission, and can help take your project to the next level.

I offer a variety of services to fit the needs of Catholic content creators. If your project is Catholic and involves words, you are in the right place!

Each piece I work on is consecrated to Jesus through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and I pray that each one brings people closer to our Lord.

JMJ,

Kari

(Disclaimer: I only work on pieces that align with the traditional truths about our faith. If you believe Catholicism should be molded to fit what's popular in society, we will not be a good fit for each other.)

Your Catholic Editor

Hi! I'm Kari!

I live in Middle Tennessee with my husband, our three children, a German Shepherd, a kitten, 2 cows, and 20 chickens.

I'm an adult convert to Catholicism, and have a passion for sharing the truths of the Catholic faith.

With an undergraduate degree in biology education and a master's in school counseling, I never thought I'd have a career in editing.... but God.

Through a series of what I like to call "God events," I had the opportunity to format and edit Let Freedom Ring, a book by Fr. Rick Heilman, Fr. James Altman, and Fr. Bill Peckman. Throughout the project, Fr. Rick kept saying, "I can't believe you're not a professional editor." A seed was planted.

After Fr. Rick hired me for a second project, I began to wonder if I was supposed to be doing something more with this gift God had given me.

That question was answered when a door opened for me to reconnect with Zip Rzeppa, founder of Mater Media. Zip had published the two books I'd done with Fr. Rick and was interested in seeing what I could do with a fiction manuscript. Again, I began to hear praises about my work, but I knew it wasn't my skills that were shining, it was God working through me.

I wasn't sure what all of this meant. Was God using me for just a few projects, or were these signs leading towards something more? Eventually, I discerned that I was being called to enter the world of freelance Catholic editing. Through this realization, Your Catholic Editor was born.

Now my passion is to help people take their projects to the next level, aiding them in reaching a wider audience, and ultimately, impacting more souls for Jesus Christ.

(Thank you Fr. Rick and Zip for trusting the Holy Spirit, taking a chance on me, and helping me to discern this path, I am forever grateful for you.)
